## The Challenge

Cherry Hill Recovery Center came to Miko Growth Lab with a WordPress site that was not competitive in organic search. Core commercial keywords like "PHP Cherry Hill NJ" and "IOP Cherry Hill NJ" were ranking outside the top 70 results — effectively invisible to the patients and families actively searching for help.

The addiction treatment vertical is one of the most competitive and tightly regulated spaces in digital marketing. Strict clinical language requirements, HIPAA compliance, and a backlink profile heavily concentrated in sister-site links added complexity beyond a typical SEO rebuild.

The site also had zero local SEO presence across South Jersey — missing an entire layer of geographic search visibility in Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester counties.

## The Strategy

### Complete Technical Rebuild

Migrated the entire site from WordPress to a modern React stack with server-side prerendering — ensuring every page delivers fully indexable HTML to search engines. Implemented a centralized SEO metadata system, structured data, and a complete 301 redirect map to preserve years of accumulated link equity through the migration.

### Hyperlocal SEO Architecture

Built a network of location-specific landing pages across Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester counties — each optimized for town-specific search intent, internally linked, and supported by a centralized service area hub.

### Conversion Infrastructure

Designed and built an instant insurance verification tool — allowing prospective patients to check their HMO, PPO, or EPO coverage in under 60 seconds without a phone call. Paired with a consistent monthly content strategy targeting high-intent clinical and geographic search queries.
